Starting from the central square of Metsovo at an altitude of 1150m, the route goes across Metsovo through the downhill cobbled roads and meets the monastery of Panagia after 1700m. It crosses Arachthos River over a wooden bridge and then goes uphill with an interchange between pathways, dirt roads and asphalt. After 4 km we reach an altitude of 1100m where we have the first rest stop. We then continue uphill though a pine forest and see the chalet of the Anilio ski resort at an altitude of 1690m which is the secong rest stop after 8.4km.
