Hydrokinetics Museum – Nerotrivi (washing mechanism) in Anthohor
Anthohori village is located southwest of Metsovo, within a walking distance. Its inhabitants, unlike most villages of the region, are not Vlach-speaking. Rona stream runs through the village, the waters of which descend headfirst from Peristeri Mountain. The stream activates the “nerotrivi” (an ecological washing mechanism) through a water mill and a dristella - the system of wooden pounders which are used to clean woolen blankets, rugs etc. The three units have been completely restored and their mechanisms have been reproduced in detailed, creating a Hydrokinetics museum.
